After sunset on the west coast of Kintyre the final light falls behind the horizon and brings an end to the day,the seaweed from raging sea washed up on the beach creating a dam for for the water so slowly seep through creating this 'S' curve in the middle of the frame leading you to the streetlights in the village of Machrihanish with the Machrihanish golf clubhouse and the Ugadale hotel in this shot
